SelectNA™ is the first bead-based automated system for the selective enrichment and isolation of bacterial and fungal DNA from whole blood samples. SelectNA™ makes detection and identification of pathogens more reliable and less time-consuming than manual systems. The unique closed pump pipetting system and the included UV lamp provide a highly contained automat excluding contamination.
SelectNA™ uses DNA-free, pre-filled reagents and consumables provided with the Blood Pathogen Kit. By the removal of the human DNA background and enrichment of pathogen DNA this system significantly increases the sensitivity and the specificity of PCR or Real-Time PCR downstream assaying of microbial target DNA up to 40,000-fold as compared to conventional systems.

SepsiTest SelectNA combines the automated pathogen DNA isolation with universal Real-Time PCR assays for more than 345 bacteria and fungi, including also rare and difficult to grow infectious agents.
