| Elchrom Scientific has developed a range of accessories to complement their Electrophoresis Equipment. These accessories include: Bind-ET™. The Bind-ET™ Ethidium Removal System was specially designed for cleaning large volumes of diluted EtBr solution in an ecological way. The system consists of a reservoir with a cover, a cartridge and a collecting vessel. The cartridge has a binding capacity of > 2 g Ethidium. More than 4,000 litres of a typical electrophoresis buffer or staining solution (at conc. 0.5 µg/ml) can therefore be cleaned. The cartridge needs no special waste handling, but can be sent for incineration. Catamaran frames. These are hydrodynamically designed to position and secure the gels during electrophoresis in the SEA 2000® and other submarine units. Four sizes of catamarans are available, two for running the Mini gels across the short (S-12) and the long (S-8) gel side, and two for Wide Mini gels (S-13/50 for half a Wide Mini gel, S-26/400 for the whole Wide Mini gel). Peel-IT™. A gel support and wire system for easy removing of the plastic gel backing. Easy-Stain Gel Tray. A Perspex tray with built in scoop and UV transparent bottom. This provides the most convenient and safe device for staining and handling the gels. There is no need to touch the gel by hand when changing solutions. BandPick™. A disposable device for recovering pure DNA from a band of interest. |
