LABType® applies Luminex xMAP technology to the reverse SSO DNA typing method. LABType® is a complete typing system for HLA A, B, C, DRB1, DRB3/4/5, DQA1/DQB1, DPB1, BW4 and B7 supplement and MICA. LABType® High Definition kits are also available for A, B, C and DRB1 loci. These kits resolve a number of ambiguities, often eliminating the need for further testing by Sequence Based Typing. LABType® is suitable for both high and low throughput laboratories as the entire process takes place in a single well of a 96 well PCR plate and different loci can be processed on the same tray. Speciality probe technology reduces the number of ambiguities and the HLA Fusion™ software aids the analysis and HLA allele assignment. One Lambda also provides a LABType® tray aspirator which removes the wash from eight wells of a high profile PCR tray simultaneously.
