| Serological Reagents and Accessories - One Lambda |
|
|
| One Lambda provides a host of ancillary serological reagents. Bulk Rabbit Complement has been found to be the most effective source of complement for CDC testing; it is screened for activity and cytotoxicity using highly selected lymphocyte panels and characterised antisera. VHBio offers complement from two sources - One Lambda and Cedarlane. FluoroQuench™ consists of a mixture of the fluorescent dyes Acridine Orange and Ethidium Bromide and quench. It stains, and differentiates between, both live and dead lymphocytes, quenches background fluorescence and preserve the cells in CDC assays. Stain-Fix™ is used to stain and fix lymphocytes in CDC assays, eliminating the use of potentially hazardous reagents. Goat IgG Anti-Human Kappa is used to increase the sensitivity of HLA antibody detection in the CDC cross match test. Mineral oil is used in the microcytotoxicity assay to prevent the evaporation of antisera dispensed onto a Terasaki Tray. One Lambda offers a heavy mineral oil that prevents evaporation and facilitates the mixing of reagents in each well. One Lambda cytotoxic controls are used to test various conditions, from the viability of a lymphocyte preparation to the reactivity of complement. Other serological accessories include 72 well Terasaki trays and Cover Slides which form a barrier over the wells to prevent skin contact with the reagents. Insta-Seal™ covers slides with a clear plastic so trays can still be interpreted. FluoroSeal™ covers the slides with a black plastic to minimise photobleaching. |
