SepsiTest™ has extended its application from whole blood diagnostics of sepsis to other infectious diseases. The early identification of bacteria and fungi directly in specimen is especially beneficial when blood culture diagnostics fail to provide information on the infectious agent necessary for timely, adequate therapy.
The well-proven broad-spectrum diagnostics of pathogens in blood by the SepsiTest™ kit is now applicable to many other body sites. Universal Microbe Detection (UMD) enables the detection and identification of more than 345 common and rare infectious agents including Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, fastidious microorganisms, intracellular bacteria, yeasts and filamentous fungi.
