One of today’s most harrowing public health issues is research into ways to fight viruses that are becoming increasingly more infectious and difficult to cure, especially clinically significant and prevalent respiratory viruses like coronavirus. The Comprehensive Respiratory Virus Panel (CRVP) from Celemics was developed using nine respiratory virus types and 39 strains in order to effectively detect and sequence respiratory disease-causing viruses in humans using the NCBI RefSeq database as its foundation.
The CRVP is an ideal tool for extensive research in the field of respiratory pathogens, including currently relevant viruses such as SARS-CoV-2 and Influenza A/B, along with virus types commonly researched in lab and clinical environments such as human rhinovirus A/B/C, respiratory syncytial virus, and parainfluenza virus. Each strain of virus type that the CRVP was designed for was based on their prevalence in human populations and referenced using the NCBI database.
