AllType™ Rapid marks the first phase of a compatibility programme with Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT).  The AllType™ Rapid 11 Loci Kit is a fast, high-resolution HLA genotyping solution designed to analyse 11 classical HLA loci (Table 1).

The kit’s primers generate HLA amplicons in a single multiplex PCR reaction, which are then end-repaired, barcoded and adapter-ligated for sequencing on ONT platforms.  The AllType Rapid workflow generates completely phased coverage, solving second-field phase (cis-trans) ambiguities and delivering consistent and balanced data.  Results are analysed using TypeStram™ Visual NGS Analysis Software; reporting and advanced analytics can be further enhanced by integration within the One Lambda software ecosystem (HLA Fusion™ analysis software and HistoTrac laboratory management system).
