Rabbit Anti-Human RBC Antibodies for Research Applications
Cedarlane’s Rabbit Anti-Human Red Blood Cell (RBC) IgG antibodies (CLAG2840, CLAG2840-1G and CLAG2840-50) are high-quality research reagents developed for applications requiring reliable recognition of human erythrocytes. Purified from high-titre rabbit antisera using salt fractionation and DEAE ion exchange chromatography, each IgG fraction is sterile filtered, tested against its immunogen, and analysed for immunoglobulin purity and protein concentration.
These rabbit anti-human RBC antibodies contain both agglutinating and lysing antibodies, making them suitable for haemagglutination assays, complement fixation studies and other immunological research applications involving human red blood cells.
Anti-red blood cell (RBC) sera are prepared by immunising rabbits with washed, intact red blood cells and are widely used for haemagglutination, complement fixation and the identification of lymphocyte subsets. These antisera are supplied frozen and contain 0.05% sodium azide.
Purified IgG fractions are produced using salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography before being tested against their immunogens, analysed for purity and protein concentration, and sterile filtered. Products are supplied as sterile frozen reagents in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.8.
IgM fractions are purified using salt fractionation, ion exchange chromatography and gel filtration before undergoing the same quality control procedures. These products are also supplied frozen in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.8.
Fluorochrome-conjugated IgG antibodies are produced through covalent coupling of either Fluorescein or Texas Red to high-titre IgG antibodies. Following purification to remove unconjugated and improperly conjugated antibodies, each conjugate is analysed for fluorochrome-to-protein ratio to ensure bright, specific fluorescence of target red blood cells. Fluorescent conjugates are supplied frozen in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.8, containing 0.05% sodium azide.
Cedarlane’s Rabbit Anti-Human Red Blood Cell (RBC) IgG antibodies provide researchers with highly characterised, quality-controlled reagents for haemagglutination, complement fixation, immunofluorescence and other immunology workflows involving human erythrocytes. Manufactured using validated purification methods and rigorous quality testing, these antibodies deliver consistent performance for research use.
