Molzym’s MolYsis™ technology is a solution for selective lysis of human cells and degradation of released human DNA followed by isolation of purified microbial DNA. In a long list of publications, MolYsis™ has been shown to be a powerful tool in enriching minute amounts of microbial DNA from a wide variety of clinical material for ultra-sensitive molecular testing.

Walkaway microbial enrichment and DNA isolation

Now, for the first time, Molzym have developed a fully automated, walk-away solution to enable the processing of clinical material using the MolYsis™ method. The kit MolYsis-SelectNA™plus allows the extraction of DNA from enriched microbes from whole blood and other body fluids, tissues and swabs.

For the automatic extraction and Real-Time PCR diagnosis of pathogen DNA, the Micro-Dx™ kit is available.

SelectNA™plus is the instrumental component of the complete Micro-Dx™ system.

Elimination of laborious manual processing steps

The SelectNA™plus instrument enables the fully automated extraction and purification of pathogen DNA from whole blood and other primary body fluids, swabs and tissue samples using MolYsis™ technology. SelectNA™plus streamlines laborious DNA isolation by significantly reducing hands-on time whilst at the same time eliminating handling errors which can lead to contamination. The highly contained system eliminates air-borne and cross-contamination during pre-analysis, thus reducing false-positive results in PCR or Real-Time PCR analyses.
