Building on the key features of AllType™ NGS, the AllType™ FASTplex™ NGS assay combines the convenience of multiplex PCR with workflow simplicity.  Ambiguities are minimised with added gene coverage (Figure 1) for HLA-DRB1, DQB1 and DPB1.  Amplicon fragmentation and adapter ligation stages are combined and a discreet size-selection step is eliminated, reducing the burden of pipetting, purification and quantitation.  Early amplicon pooling means that libraries can be prepared for sequencing in less than 3.5 hours with minimal hands-on time.

Sequencing data are analysed using TypeStream™ Visual NGS Analysis Software for rapid automated analysis: from sample to reported results within two-days.  Reporting and advanced analytics can be further enhanced by integration within the One Lambda software ecosystem (HLA Fusion™ analysis software and HistoTrac laboratory management system.

AllType™ FASTplex™ NGS provides a fast, CE-IVD compliant method for HLA NGS.  Sample to sequencing in less than 7 hours ensures the AllType™ FASTplex™ workflow is completed in a single-day (with less than 90 minutes hands-on time), with reportable results 1.5 days or less.  The simple method requires a minimal learning curve.
