What is your career and/or education background? 

I started on a YTS doing office work at a company called Reg Vardy at the time (who then went on to become Evans Halshaw), before leaving there to work in the Purchase Ledger Dept. at Philips Components in Durham (who then became LG Philips Displays) where I was made redundant. After this, I took a year out to have my second daughter Ellie, after which I then started in my current role here at VH Bio. 

Describe what your job entails. 

Processing incoming invoices, Processing of payments to UK suppliers, Monitoring creditors ledger, posting daily sales receipts received into bank & sending out monthly statements along with any copy invoices that may be needed and dealing with any queries that may arise with the backup from Pauline (VH Bio’s Sales and Purchasing Manager) if needed. If/When needed, process incoming Sales Orders ready for despatch, and I occasionally take care of the organising of accommodation/travel requirements for field-based staff and the organising and logistics handling of any workshops or conferences that may be sponsoring and attending. 

What is your favourite part of the job? 

I enjoy it all to be honest (I know that’s sad) but because I’ve been doing Purchase Ledger for many years now, I know it inside out… I also really enjoy posting the sales receipts and keeping a general eye on the creditors ledger and my goal is to not have any pesky overdue invoices in 120 days!!
