MolYsis-SNplus™ IVD is a kit for automated human DNA depletion and bacterial & fungal DNA isolation from diverse human specimens.

All reagents are free of microbial DNA, no false-positive results from “kitome”

The presence of large amounts of human DNA can introduce “background noise” when using molecular techniques such as PCR or Next Generation Sequencing (NGS).

The combination of human DNA depletion with contamination-free reagents and plastics maximises the chances of detecting microbial DNA directly from human samples even at low levels, ensuring that even trace amounts can be captured and analysed.

The MolYsis-SNplus™ IVD kit has been developed with the objective of providing laboratory professionals with a tool that facilitates the automated extraction of bacterial and fungal DNA from human samples, while simultaneously depleting the human DNA background. The method has been validated for a wide range of samples, including body fluids, swabs, and tissues.

MolYsis-SNplus™ IVD complies with the following European regulations: Regulation (EU) 2017/746 on In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Devices (IVDR).

Internal Extraction Control

An optional internal extraction control testing can be performed with each sample in order to validate the extraction of DNA.

The Buffer Cartridges included in the MolYsis-SNplus™ IVD kit contain an internal extraction control DNA which is passed through the extraction process ending up in the eluate. The internal extraction control is a DNA template used as a process control to validate the DNA extraction.
To perform the extraction control, the separately available Control PCR kit must be used.

Please note: The Control PCR assay is not included in the MolYsis-SNplus™ IVD kit and needs to be ordered separately!
