Welcoming Emma to our Marketing Team!

Hi! I’m Emma Thompson and I recently joined VH Bio as their Marketing Officer. I’m excited to be welcomed aboard with the signature VH Bio Q&A! 

Describe what your job entails.

I support the Sales and Marketing team with developing and implementing the marketing strategy for VH Bio, which includes social media, content marketing, website optimisation, email marketing, conference and event planning and so much more. 😉

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A Radio City Rockette.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I love to travel and explore new places and foods and am always up for a concert. I stay busy with walking my dog, going to the beach, spending time with friends, supporting charity shops, reading, and Pilates. My latest obsession is line dancing… Yeehaw!

What is your favourite animal?

My golden retriever, Luna, although I am very fond of sloths after seeing them IRL earlier this year!

What was the worst job you’ve ever had?

Waitressing in a rotating restaurant. 😵‍💫

In your opinion, what is the greatest advancement in the history of science?

After reading many VH Bio staff profiles, I would have to agree that the discovery of DNA was very significant!

The Eras Tour Night 1 in Edinburgh, 2024. IYKYK!

What is your favourite film?

Practical Magic.

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Breakfast. Does that count? If not, I would say quesadillas!

What is the first concert you attended?

Taking Back Sunday. I lost my shoes in my first mosh pit!

5 famous people – dead or alive – that you would invite to a dinner party?

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Freddie Mercury, Pedro Pascal and Paddington.

What do you think sets VH Bio apart as an employer?

I find the industry very rewarding to work in, as we can see vital health research come into play through use of the products that VH Bio supplies. I have had a very warm welcome to the business, alongside the two other new starters who began on the same day as I did, and I feel incredibly supported and motivated by all of the team at VH Bio. The overall ethos of the company and commitment to protecting the environment are also big positives for me!
